Recycle Puhhhhleeeeaaaseee.

We have two huge blue paper recycle bins in our office area.  Both next to regular trash cans.  I look in the trash and see lots of paper.  Not cool peeps.  If you take two steps to your right the paper will go to be recycled.  I pulled the paper out and put it in the recycle bin, but I won’t always be around to trash dive.  Please be aware.  And if I see you, I’ll catch you and you’ll get a taste of Green Justice!

Littering…Just don’t do it

While I’m in the start up phase of this blog I’m going to share some really easy ways you can be green friendly.  Let’s start with littering.  Now before this whole green idea came into play, I’m pretty sure littering was frowned upon.  But now with the code red on our environment, I’m hoping even the laziest person can find a freaking trash can.  Here’s how easy it is:

What is Green Justice?

Green Justice became an idea about a year ago after I witnessed a man get out of his parked car in front of his business and take his fast food trash, walk to the curb, and toss it in the street.  Then he went inside.  I was in total disbelief.  How does one make a conscious choice to throw his trash in the street instead of take it inside where he’s going already?  Several thoughts came to me.  How can communities get green and clean when their own neighbors are part of the problem.  So I wrote down the name of the business, the address and phone number and a description of the car.  I planned on calling and complaining, turning this man in, but I chickened out because it could be a horrible confrontation.  So instead I submitted my claim to anonymouspostcard.org.  Very brave of me don’t you think?

This incident led me to the idea of a green gossip site if you will.  A form of public accountability.  Throw your cigarette butt out of your car window and I might just be there getting your license plate and photo and post it on Green Justice!

Please join me in exposing those leaving a big nasty carbon footprint.  You can also post helpful tips and suggestions.  Maybe you want to start a neighborhood group or petition for a cause, or maybe you just want to vent.  This blog is the place to do your Green Justice work.

I’m new to blogging, so please be patient.  I will be working diligently to add great content, but I need your help.  Please share your thoughts.  Thanks and come again!
